Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to Daniel Institute, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Minimum Academic Qualification
    Certificate/Diploma programmes: WASSCE/SSSCE or equivalent. Degree programmes: Diploma or equivalent. Postgraduate: Bachelor's degree with minimum Second Class Lower (2:2) or equivalent.
  2. Certified Academic Transcripts
    Certified copies of all previous academic certificates, transcripts, and results slips from recognised institutions.
  3. Personal Statement / Statement of Purpose
    A 500-word statement outlining your academic background, motivation for the programme, and career objectives.
  4. Two Academic or Professional Referees
    Reference letters from two persons — at least one must be an academic referee (lecturer, supervisor, or head of department).
  5. Valid National Identification
    A copy of a valid national ID, passport, or birth certificate for identity verification.
  6. Non-Refundable Application Fee
    Application processing fee as specified in the current fee schedule. Payment confirms submission of your application.

How to Apply

Five simple steps to your admission

Step 1
Create Applicant Account

Register on the DIMS portal to create your applicant account. A verification email will be sent to confirm your registration.

Step 2
Complete Online Application

Fill in your personal details, academic history, employment background, and select your programme of study and level of entry.

Step 3
Upload Supporting Documents

Upload certified copies of academic transcripts, certificates, national ID, curriculum vitae, and referee letters.

Step 4
Admissions Review

The Admissions Committee will review your application. You can track your application status in real time on the DIMS portal.

Step 5
Receive Offer of Admission

Successful applicants receive an official offer of admission letter via email and through the DIMS portal, with enrolment instructions.

Admission Policies

Important policies governing the admissions process

Daniel Institute is committed to equal opportunity in admissions. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, nationality, disability, or socioeconomic background. All qualified applicants are considered on merit.

All submitted documents must be authentic. Any falsification or misrepresentation of documents will result in immediate disqualification and may lead to legal action.

Admitted students may request a deferral of up to one academic year. Deferral requests must be submitted in writing to the Registrar's office before the programme start date. A deferral fee may apply.

The application fee is non-refundable. Tuition fees paid before withdrawal may be partially refunded: 100% before the first week, 50% before the third week, and no refund thereafter.

Applicants who are not offered admission may appeal the decision within 14 days of receiving the outcome. Appeals must be submitted in writing with supporting evidence to the Admissions Committee.
